What is bias? What is discrimination? What really is intolerance?

Is it because, we are unable to understand the minority? Is it because we can't find a reason to respect what others do? Is it because we simply can't accept unconformity? Could it be because we are jealous because we found them unique?

Maybe we simply like to judge people by their looks, their race, their small actions and simply the group that they belong to. We remember grudges for as long as we could. Wars erupt because of a small spark because all this small small little bits of bad experience debris just accumulate waiting to be ignited.

Sometimes I just can't help it to hate or dislike some group of people. Because they have already "build" up that certain level of "characteristics" that I find it hard not to relate and start a new to know the "real" person. Maybe I have been a target of discrimination before, I believe this is just a vicious cycle. It's only human to feel this way I think.

Nevertheless, life is really too short to keep hating and disliking that certain somebody. It's more tiring to hate then to love. Try at all times to open up your mind, be more tolerate, be sensitive and insensitive at the right times, speak your mind and enjoy the essence of what you sow eventually.

I just got myself SE K610i 3G mobile phone!!!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

It's so cheap, it's so unbelievable. It's only $178! After much thought over whether I should get the dopod S300 or Razor V3i, I didn't choose any of them but this instead. All because this is a 3G phone with really good specs which surpass the two mobile phones under my consideration. The Specifications were something like that...

2MP camera
Extendable M2 sony memory stick slot
Plays mp3
Video
3G
Quite Slim
Light
Big Screen
64mb M2 card

only bad point was that It didn't came with

Radio
ear phones
a M2 card which has more memory

Anyway, just a side note, the staff in the city link Hello shop was extremely helpful and good. Oh yes, 3G Tv is free so is video call. Video call = voice call. So please tell me if you have a 3G phone! *Welcomes myself to the 3G world*

Had a really cheap high tea buffet in parkway parade yesterday...... Nothing really special about the restaurant but it's worth an episode of....

HO JIA EHTM
Parkway Thai Restaurant
80 Marine Parade Road
B1-84D
Parkway Parade
Singapore 449269

Some history of me going to this restaurant. This restaurant used to be hidden in the corner of the shopping centre in the 3rd floor of Parkway Parade. I frequent the place alot during high tea hours (3:15pm-530pm) when I was small. Food during that time range from satay, laksa, chicken wings to almost every single thai dessert that you can think of. However, that was like 10years ago, so, after 10 years which is now, is has been relocated but yet again hidden in some corner in the basement of the shopping centre. Price of the high tea was still the same, $8.90 nett but the variety of the food is way different from what was 10 years ago. There were only a few main dishes when I ate that day. They were namely, thai-styled carrot cake, thai chicken curry, keropok, fried fish cake, fried potato crisps, thai laksa and thai-style fish ball noodles. Food was quite nice and fulfilling considering the price. There were dessert available too, quite a number of cakes and chendol too. Best of all for senior citizens (55yrs old and above) there's even a 30% discount. This also explains for the number of tai tais who were seated there.

The design of the restaurant is relatively good, with a small light on the wall that changes color and a small fountain. There's even a small bar at the back of the small restaurant. Lunch should be serving a much larger variety of food since it actually cost $18.90+++. Personally, I kind of like the thai curry that they serve, even have slices of bread to accompany it. :)

Had been working the week before. 7 days straight, more than 12 hours everyday. Hectic, chaotic, tiring are the only words to describe. Struggling with work and try to cope with my non-recovering cough just made it even worse. Thanks to some friends for being caring and thanks to ZK for bringing that liang teh + powdered medicine all the way from chinatown. Really appreciated that.

For those who do not know, I've been working in the area in front of caffefour for the past week. Toy Room, the shop that I used to work for on the third floor in the same tower offered me this job and I somewhat gladly took it due to the lack of $$$. Need money buy phone! Need money buy textbooks! Here happen to be some candid photos that Nix took when he visited me on one of those days. The first one really look like "stalker" photo because it can't really pass to be a private investigator photo. LOL

I do look abit shag ah? Notice that white and red stuff on my arm, it happen to be the remnants of the singapore flag tattoo I pasted on my arm two days ago and it's still there!!! By the way, to nix, I'm not slacking lor! Just taking a break. Tiring you know. I 've never say so many "thank you" in my life while I was doing the cashier duty.

Ok Ok, I don't know whether this is long anticipated or not... But here it goes..... another episode of...........................................

HO JIA EHTM

New York New York
Address-> The best I can get the the net is, In Citylink, Next to HMV.

As the name of the restuarant explains itself, the concept of the restuarant is based on new york itself. Statue of liberty in the middle of the resturant, subway look-alike dining tables, new york city backdrop.
I find the food quite cheap relatively speaking in terms of restaurants, of course you shouldn't compare food court prices here right?
Since it was a relatively new resturant, only open a few weeks ago, the patrons were amazing, coming in herds and all. I had to wait like 30-40mins in the quene? But the service by the manager was great, cheerful and smiling, he invited us in to sit down on the sofas near the entrance as we waited for our seats. There's this menu just outside the restaurant, and the giant yankee burger just caught my eye and I knew what to ordered. Well, here comes the chain of food.. P.S: Please pardon me, I forgot all about the names, so the nearest thing I can remember is that all the dishes here have a "Gotta try It!" stamp beside their names in the menu.

1. Salad

I'm not really a salad guy. You know, meat meat meat and more meat, no veges please whatsoever. But the vegetables (whatever you call them) is just nice with the dressing, bread crumbs and roasted chicken meat. However, it's not a very good opener, as the dressing doesn't start your appetite going. But, rather good for a diet meal I guess? Diet and nice food = perfect combination.

2. Buffalo wings with cheese sauce
I was expecting chicken wings fried and dipped in red hot spicy sauce before they came, much alike the ones in Surfer's place in Funan centre. But it just came differently, you know, sauce separated from the wings, and the sauce was creamy white. A note though, please consume it while it's hot, cause it doesn't taste nice when it's cold wings with cold white cheese sauce. Well, yet another new type of fried chicken wings I've tried. Another note, they should marinate or put in some taste in the wing itself, cause it's kind of tasteless without the sauce.

3. Pepperoni Pizza
Juicy, cheesy and filled with loads of ingredients in every slice of that personal size pizza. Good old original cooking way from Italy. But I still think that the bread part of the pizza is way too hardy.

4. Pork Ribs
Fatty, juicy and totally sinful. They must have gotten these ribs from the fattest pig they can find. The ribs were so full of fats that the meat was so succulent from the oil. Well, it's something sinful that you want to try once in a while. A note: Fats bring out the taste of the meat. No fats = no succulent meat. Same concept goes for sirlon steaks.

5. Giant Yankee Burger
The main hero, the main dish, the main killer for the day and possibly the only name of the dish that I can remember or rather can't forget. The description gave in the menu gave something like this: The burger is gigantic~! Enough for four persons to eat! We dare you to eat it alone! And here's my description. The beef patty itself is almost a thumb finger nail thick and each of the sesame buns were just as thick too. The plate filled up more than half the space of the table. Apart from the size, the beef patty was alright only, because I think they cooked it for too long, such that the beef became rather dry, and you do know how dangerous dry food can do to the throat right? Especially BIG and dry food. So please, do not try this dish unless u're gastronomically prepared. Cause the people I went with were not. LOL.
Oh man, just talking about the last dish gave me the creeps. One thing to take note about the waitresses and waiters there, maybe they are just new, because for somethings they just didn't take initiative to do, like giving us the cheese, chilli flakes and tabasco sauce for our pizza, small plates for us since we obviously are going to share the dishes we ordered and warn us that the burger is REALLY REALLY BIG! Maybe a life-sized photo of the burger would do real good.

Overall speaking, the ambience was kind of good, manager was smiling and welcoming, concept is nice, sofa cosy and food cheap and up to standard. They even offer the customers cotton candy after our meals, pretty neat ah?

It's been long since I wrote anything about myself. Couple of months of ago, right after I finished my examinations, I went to the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple. Remember those sticks of things in a small hand-held bucket? I did one of those to ask for a question that I really wanted an answer then. Of course, I shan't not tell you what question it is. And the answer is 42. Neh, just kidding with you, too much of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is bad. Anyway, I got one of those "advice" from the sticks that came out which lead to reading a piece of red paper which says in English interpretation:

The water bubbling at the rapids is caused by outcrop of rocks. A gentle breeze blowing out on a moonlit scene. A Benefactor at hand to help one seek the road. One will find it to pick flowers and herbs.

I was like.... O_O? Who in the world would understand?! Then there was this easier to understand part which goes:

One seek to achieve something. It will need trouble and effort, best to stick to present situation. You will be peaceful.

Well, in the first place, I'm not really trying to achieve anything or am I? If it needs trouble and effort, isn't it difficult to stick to the present situation? It would imply not doing anything. Third sentence was for consoling I guess. After all, it just made me more confused. You should try reading the chinese part, even more confusing.
