- Botak Jones -

Yup, finally tried the famous western food that almost every single NUS students had when before. Situated in a coffee shop in clementi, it's famous for its big servings, nice service and great and cheap authentic western food! So here we go, another episode of HO JIA EH!

This really famous western food coffee shop stall, is amazing a franchise and have about four stalls all around Singapore, you guys can check out the website to find out the other three locations. The food menu is awesomely wide range, the menu was so thick that initially I thought that the customers(mostly students) were reading lecture notes. Menu range from salad, snacks, soup, and the different main courses. The only bad thing is that the menu doesn't come with pictures and you can only use your imagination while you read the rich descriptions that they provided in the menu. Service was extremely high class considering that they are IN a coffee shop. They have a specialized counter/cashier that is wireless and digitalized with the entire seating plan of the coffee shop and the receipt that they issued even have the approximate timing you'll have to wait for your food to arrive. The sauces that they provide did not just stop at ketchup and chilli, they provide a bottle of "black sauce" ( don't know what's that ) and mustard. I believe they provide more than that, just that the dishes that me and my friends ordered just needed mustard, chilli and ketchup. Okay, enough of talk, here's the food we ordered.....

Giant Beef Hot Dog

Hmmm, my picture sure looks kinda of obsene. LOL. Anyway, the hot dog is HUGE. Fries were in crazy amounts with chilli powder. Salad serving was really big too. The hot dog came with the bun, which I couldn't really pack it up with the hot dog, cause the hot dog is simply too huge. The hot dog was nice, bouncy and Q on the skin. Definately worth the money.
S$5.50: Without the bun
S$6.50: With the bun only
S$7.50: Set meal

Rosemary Lamb Chops

The sizes of the chops were just nice for a small plate. They offer bigger sizes at 300gm. Okay, they provide the whole range of the level of cooking that you want. Here's what they offer: Medium, Pink Inside OR Well Done, Cooked Thorough. Hmm, I think I got offered with a longer list than this. Anyway, so many choices and I thought there's only medium rare, medium and well done. How does the chef even differentiate! Anyway, back to the lamb chops. I ordered medium with a little pink inside. LOL. The sauce was kinda thick for me, should really stick to the usual mint sauce. Other than that, the meat is great, thick enough, pink enough in the inside. Don't have the bad lamb smell, maybe it's all covered up by the thick sauce.
S$11.00: 200 grams
S$14.50: 300 grams

Cajun Chicken Plate

Nice and tender breast chicken meat. The cajun sauce..... kinda of spicy, cause I think chilli's kinda free to them. So, non-chilli eaters, please watch out! Said to be the 2nd most popular item, it really matches up to its popularity. Kinda "healthy" too, since it's breast meat. :D
S$7.50: Regular
S$12.50: Large

All in all, it's a worthwhile trip and worth a second, third, and so on. Price is cheap, service is good. Only thing is the place is kinda hot and there's no ambience. LOL. But you can be sure that you'll be full after that meal.
