- Next -Another of those time science fiction films that I've watched yesterday. Different from the previous movies that I've reviewed is that in this film, the main actor has the ability to see a few minutes into the future. So, the movie began with the main actor (Nicholas Cage) working as a regular magician and playing and winning games at the casino of which all his actions were being tracked down by the FBI. When he got into trouble, the FBI looked him up and propose a "as you know it", we erase your records in our files and you help us thing. But he declined and used his special ability to escape from the FBI. Then again, in the midst, he eventually helped the FBI due to some girl but was killed by the nuclear bomb that detonated because he made a mistake (which was not explained).

*major spoiler AHEAD*

Well, usually in a normal movie, the main hero doesn't die right? Hence the story that had been going on 3/4 of the time was all a dream, because apparently he could see in the future more than 2 mins or perhaps hours once he met the girl. Interesting ending but it was too open ended I guess. And I believe there are some parts some people would not catch it when he "spilt" himself into many "clones" when in search for the people involved in the nuclear bomb.

- Bad results -

Yup, as expected, the blood that I donated for my own research didn't came out very well. Platelets were not isolated properly (or rather, there ain't any), so the results came out..... Like rubbish. Rubbish in, rubbish out. :'( Shall be having a gathering soon this weekend with the guys, Roger came back, so got some catching up to do.

For those going for commencement next week, tell me when's your commencement! Then, maybe I'll try to find time to go find you guys to help you take photos. :)

Got rather tired after the jog today, could it be due to the 100mL of blood I donated? I doubt so....

- Tiring day -

Got to lab earliest today. Another record broken I guess. Went early and expected for my blood to be drawn for my research at 830am. But the doctor in my research team got cope up with work. Hence got another laboratory assistent to draw my blood instead. Hence I donated, near 100mL of my blood for the experiments that I did which was not very ideally performed. LOL. It was almost continuous experiments until 230pm where I breaked for a quick lunch and continued straight till about 6pm when I stopped. Tiring.........

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get let off early.

- SWAT -

Watched this old show last night. SWAT: Special Weapons and Tactics. Quite a cool action movie which features SWAT training, test and the "real" situation encounters. Anyway, back to the story, it was about two partners in a SWAT team whereby one of them disobeyed direct orders from the superior and engaged an enemy in a bank-hostage scenerio. Due to his actions, he was demoted and kicked out of the force while his partner (hero of the movie) gets punishment in the "gun cage". After a while since the incident, the hero got another chance to get into SWAT and that was when at the same time a super criminal was caught and offered 100 million dollars (on tv) for whoever who was able to get him out of jail. Hmmm, at this point, I don't have to say much right? Maybe just a hint, the person who got kicked out of SWAT reappeared in the second part of the movie and of course the ending was a happy one. The movie was packed with a fair amount of action but lack a really high climax.

- LOST -

Totally lose form today in the laboratory.

Mentor: So did you read up on the tissue factor........
Me: Er... Nope.........
Mentor: So, do you know the concentration of the thrombin that you can use to activate platelets?
Me: Er... Nope......
Mentor: Why your results have two peaks? Don't understand how come. Could be contamination..... blah blah blah...
Me: :'(

Ahhhhhhh, I think I don't know anything! Suddenly, I lost my aim. I don't know where I'm heading now for my research. HOW?

- Curry Favor -

Yup, here's another episode of.....

HO JIA EHTM
Curry Favor (website)
39 Stamford Road
#01-08/09
Stamford House
Singapore 178885
Tel: 68831087

Well, quite a nice restaurant to be in, I thought when I first stepped into the restaurant. Dark, cosy and cool. I can't stand restaurants that are as bright as some jewellery shops out there, so bright I don't even want to go in. I mean, your diamonds are bright enough right? Don't have to add that extra bling bling through the light? Anyway, back to the restaurant. It was recommended by nixxy some time ago, hence I asked him to bring me there during my army gathering. Food was pretty okay and filling. Service was great, they kept refilling the water! I like. Hmmm, since I only tried one dish, because was too busy talking to the other two friends and forgot all about tasting their dishes, I shall just review the one I ate.

Mushroom Stewed Curry
First of all, the curry isn't spicy. Well, it's Japanese curry after all, when was Japanese curry ever spicy in the first place? But nevertheless, we were still given the choice of mild or "spicy" curry. I think because one of my friend hinted that he wanted super spicy, hence the curry that we had that day was slight spicer than the normal spicy as observed by nixxy. What I think is that, this dish is quite over rated. I mean, 17.90 bucks for a plate of mushroom curry with rice? I go to the supermarket lo, the ingredients they had were golden mushrooms which cost around 1 bucks++, and normal mushrooms that would cost about 3 bucks++. But I still quite impress at how their curry could cover over the mushroom "fungi" taste which I can't do it myself when I cook. The rice was good quality like real Japanese rice (or maybe they are), and goes really well with the curry as they don't go soggy and become a clump when I mix them with the curry.
Price: $17.90+++

Other dishes my friends tried!

- Slacking day -

Well, explains what I did for the day. But I did finally wrote somethings on my laboratory log book! LOL. Next would be pasting in the results that I obtained. But the CD that they gave me was totally corrupted. Cannot install at all! Anyway, I just borrowed another set of comics from my friend. 倚天屠龙记. Got really interested about the story since the movie which Jet Li starred in. Tomorrow's another day at the lab. Wish me luck! No errors made please!! Weekends coming! Somebody jio me out leh? LOL. My computer has been upgraded! 512kb RAM more added! WOOhooo~ Though I can't feel a difference in the speed. :S

Hmmm, if you guys have not known, there's this competition in Britain recently called "Britain's got talent" and they featured a 6 yr old girl who had incredible vocals for her age. Just search for her name, Connie Talbot, and listen to her "somewhere over the rainbow" and you'll feel the same way too. Hence, for the next blog song, I should be preparing that. :D

Thanks xiao bao for the post card. :) 真有心.

- NS gathering -

Had a gathering with the guys again. Talked non-stop about what happened during the army days. Many things to recall, many things to laugh about, many stupid things that we've done. It was great, seeing each other still able to find time during their busy schedules to come sit down and have a all out chat with each other and talking almost anything under the sun. I think the next time we would gather like that would be long time to come since we're all soon going into the work force and going to be really busy, much busier than how it is now.

Anyway, went to the Curry Favor place in stanford house next to the capitol building. They serve really nice, hot and spicy japanese curry. Will blog about this abit later. Need some photos.

Anyway anyway, got some feedback from fellow blog readers that I'm currently and previously quite 肉麻 in my entries. So for this entry, I shall restrain myself for the sake of the few of you. Heh Heh. But I must warn you, if you still have the intention to keep reading my blog, you have to endure my 肉麻 entries no matter what.

- 28 days later -Yup, another horror movie about zombies. I was imaginating it to be somewhat on par with the show like resident evil. Resident evil was quite good I must say, with abit of high technology involved and computer graphics. But 28 days later has none of these. They just made use of alot alot alot alot of blood and many many red color contact lenses and monkeys. So, if you're expecting something like resident evil like me, you'll walk off totally disappointed. The ending was quite unexpected. The script writer was probably trying to think of something that might possibly happen to people when they're trapped at one place, nowhere to go and trying to survive in a man kill man situation. Other than that, the show started monotonously without much climax inbetween, with many unexplained parts like what exactly was the "rage" injected into the monkeys? And I thought it was a blockbuster to begin with. Sighz.

Hmmm, today was expecting a short day, just do my experiment diluent and run the fluorescence machine for 30mins. Think all my experiment results are accumulating in the computer such that I can't remember what the results are telling! LOL. Got to arrange them in order soon. Anyway, got "injected" by my professor last minute to do some really long experiment. Just felt that next week's gonna be quite a killer week for me. Got to do many many things. That means I'll have many many many results also. OH no.......

- Norbit -I have a liking for comedies. But after watching so many comedies like these, I'm starting to lose faith in the industry and their credibility to make another nice comedy movie. This show was totally not to my liking at all. Story line was too fantasy like and something I can't relate with at all. The woman was extremely fat and obese. I think this show is just trying to make fun out of obese people which was quite disgusting in a way. Anyway, didn't really like it throughout the entire show. Eddie Murphy acted three different roles which were all horrendous roles. Well, until I hear a good review on another comedy, I shall restrain myself from anymore of comedies at the meantime.

Spent an amazing 4 hours talking to XB. Advancement in technology is so wonderful sometimes, making two persons who are so far apart so near. Could hear her voice and see her face. So amazing sometimes technology can be. But there's always a glitch when she kept disconnecting from skype. LOL.

She made my day, made me smile, made me happy. :)

Came back home with a diarrhoea. Wondering what I ate the day before. All that came out was so liquidfied. LOL. Was really tired after the mahjong session, just lied on bed and woke up about 1hr+ later to attend to a friend who came to my house to look at the turtles. Yup, finally a potential buyer. Well, hope someone gets one of the turtles. Mum's really mad at me at taking care of the turtles for "god knows what" reason. Sighz.

Slept for around less than 5 hours I guess. Change the fish tank water and got scolded. Got scolded again for making mum not be able to cook the supposed lunch and to drag the meal to time between lunch and dinner time, which she said as not 3 not 4. Really irritated.............

- Short Saturday -

Went out to help my anonymous fix a new computer. His graphic card blew and marked the end of his old computer cycle. Hence, we walked around Sim Lim Square and check out the prices for the bundles. Went to a first shop, but the salesman was trying to stretch the limits of his budget, and we didn't like it. Then, went to another shop with a friendly but blur indian guy who gave us quite a good bundle at a price of 888 bucks. Here's roughly his computer specifications.

1.86ghz Intel Core 2 Dual (6 series)
2ghz DDR2 Ram
320gb HDD
Eagle 8500GT 512kb Graphics card
MSI Motherboard

So was it worth it?

After that went to celebrate a friend's birthday in Hougang South. A really nostalgic place where I often frequent when I lived near there during my secondary school days. Many renovations have been done since then, but seems like most of the shops were still intact. After the celebration, went forward to play mahjong through the night and for the entire two rounds, I only won about 3 times. :'(

Anyway, that aside, was really happy to see XB's face online.... Heez. Looks like got put on a little weight ah? Heh heh heh. :).

- Free Friday -

Yup, free day for me! Finally can slack for the rest of this week after four continuous days of going to school. :D. Just did some tidying up in my room, feel that my room's getting smaller because of the influx of all the school textbooks. Trying to get rid those notes that I don't need anymore. Actually, I have most of my notes in soft copies already. Now my book shelf is more tidy and some of my things are just waiting to be thrown away.

Anyway, maybe some of you have known. I'm currently trying to sell my pig-nose turtles away. No use keeping them for some reason. So anyone interested? They are about a palm size now. I'll give a really low price, because I'm looking for people who are really interested in rearing them. Cause if I think of it, it'll take quite alot time to keep them constantly happy.

Congras to XB. :). Finished internship and had a enjoyable farewell. Haha. Now time to enjoy the next one month travelling around Japan. Just be careful k? Take lots of care since nobody taking care of you from now onwards. :P Miss you.

- Rants of the day -

Hmmm, got a last minute supper call from my friends and went out to eat until about 2am before going to bed and woke up at 630am to reach school in time for the meeting. Was having such a difficult time trying to keep myself awake throughout the presentation that my brain can't figure out the contents that the presenter was trying to say. Today for the first time, I did a small part of the experiment by myself in the hood of the laboratory. Truely a different experience altogether. With nobody to stay watch at me, I feel more comfortable and less tense. Anyway, left early today and went to eat in a resturant called Zui Fairprice Restaurant in Upper Thomson Road to celebrate early Father's day. Quite nice, especially the chicken. The prawns were displayed on the dish in an interesting manner also. Didn't take any photos cos I was just to lazy. Deprived of sleep now......

Suddenly miss somebody in Japan so much..... Haha....... Should be enjoying your farewell celebration now right?

Well, today went smoothly, not much major mistakes which I did a few days ago. Starting to become independent. My mentor actually left earlier than me today, leaving me to be one of the last people to leave the laboratory today! I'm still quite slow while doing my experiments. Must try to learn to be faster and mostly importantly delicate. LOL. Tomorrow's gonna be a ultra early day, gonna have an early 845am meeting before I start my 10-1pm experiments. Tiredz....

- Rocky Balboa -
Another name for this movie would have been Rocky VI. Yup, this is exactly the SIXTH rocky movie that Sylvester Stallone had acted in. The pace of the movie was kinda slow pace as describe by mr anonymous before I even watched the show. It was Rocky's after life after his two time world heavy weight champion boxing career. His wife passed away, and he lost his aims in life and was trying to find his son to talk to. But his son didn't like getting associated with his father as he was always referred as "Rocky's Son" and not as himself. The show got more interesting when Rocky applied for a boxing licence and was immediately invited on an exhibition match with the recent boxing champion who has never lost in a match before. That was when he started training and all the typical stuff from his previous movies came in. Meaning the "eye of the tiger" song, lifting weights, jogging like mad and eating huge amounts of raw eggs. The climax came when the boxing match started with plenty of punches here and there between the 50+ yr old Rocky and the 20+ yr old boxing champion. Well, what can I say, if you're a Rocky fan, it's a definate must watch. Another would be if you're looking for some inspiration, here's where to look. One nice motivating line from the movie would be " It's not about how you can hit, it's about how you can get hit and keep moving forward, it's about how much you can take and keep moving forward."

- Miso Crunch -

How ironic, just when I was talking about going on a diet, I had to go and try the latest KFC product, the Miso Crunch! Well, once a glutton, always a glutton, so here's another episode of....

Ho Jia EhTM

KFC
No need to give the addresses right? (anyway, I ate it in Bishan J8)

Anyway, the latest product from KFC, it's simply the spicy flavour minus the spicy flavour and + the smell of miso. Miso, a type of..... er.... fermented stuff that Japanese like to make for their well known miso soup. Anyone can fill in for me here? Something like.... History of miso or something like that would be fine. Anyway, This new KFC fried chicken is quite perfect for people who can't take spicy taste, but want to try the crispiness of the spicy KFC fried chicken. Though rated by a friend of mine as very very very very salty, I find it fine, not too salty I guess. The smell coming from the miso crunch fried chicken was really luring if you ever walk pass the fastfood restaurant. However, the fried chicken only have the smell but did not have the miso taste that I expected and the seaweed, I believe is only for aesthetics purposes and to differentiate between original and spicy didn't add to the taste. Other than this (and the KFC auntie with the really fierce face), the green tea that went with the chicken was quite tasteless, or should I say, good for the health minded people. (well, if you go KFC and eat, you're not realli healthy minded in the first place). So, definitely worth a try.

- Day 2 of Busy Week -

Hopeless. The only word to describe today. Started doing some experiments all by myself in the hood today. The moment I open the package to use the pipette I was given the X sign. Mentor:"What did you do just now? The pipette tip touched the tube right? It's contaminated, now throw that away." Sighz. What was worst when she said:" You didn't pour away the chemicals in the wells first?!?!?!?". Actually, I did thought so, but since she didn't instruct me to do anything, I just added in the next set of chemicals. Think I'm too reliant on instructions and people spoon feeding me. Think my brain is quite dead and can only think straight, cannot be flexible enough to think during the experiments itself. Calculations were another thing, I had to think on the spot, how much concentration to use, how much volume, how to dilute, how many cells there are in each ml. I even thought 105 was 10,000. Please make it a better day tomorrow! I think I need to redo this set of experiments. Even had problems trying to unload 1microlitre of reagent from the pipette. Well, as I kept thinking along the way during my experiment, I took up tons of time and finished it an hour later than expected. Mentor:"Next time when you're doing cell cultures, try to do it faster, should finish everything within an hour for that experiment just now". =.=

By the way, happy monthiversary. Haha. Let's celebrate 3 monthsiversary when you get back! LOL. :P

- Busy week coming -

Officially, I have started on my honours project as of today. Starting to learn some simple experimental techniques. But though simple, it's already giving me the headaches, because not only there are so many reagents, I have to remember where to find them and also take extra precautions to prevent any contaminations. So many.... so many things to remember..... Gotta be Independent. Anyway, I just receive my very own laboratory log book, where I can write every single thing which what I have done into that book. It's like starting from scratch and writing an experiment manual book. :S Gonna be real busy this week, got my entire schedule all planned up by my mentor. But I'll have Friday free!

Anyway, back to the supposedly amusement park which I can get free rides yesterday. Yup, the word was SUPPOSEDLY. Who was suppose to know that the sentence "discount of 1 token per ride" does not simply mean, on that day itself, it's gonna be one token for any type of ride but means all rides will have a discount of 1 token per ride. Meaning, if it cost 3 tokens for one ride, I could only use one token given from the coupon given by the town council, I'll have to pay the 2 tokens with cash. Each token cause $2.50!!! Well, in the end, didn't take any of the rides, just went one round around the fun fair, took some pictures and waited for the lucky draw which I didn't win anything eventually. =.=" Anyway, here are the photos, taken by using mr anonymous's camera phone.

- 1 litre no Namida -The drama series also known as 1 litre of tears, is extremely tears jerking. Almost every episode from the start, you'll start crying non-stop if you're an emotional person. Recommended by my friend who actually watch it more than 2 times. At first, he gave me a strong warning that the show will bring tears non-stop, not believing him I took on the challenge. Fortunately, I didn't bet with him, if not, I would have definately lose hands down even he was given a choice to use which episode on me.

Anyway, the drama is based on a true story about a young girl who got this rare neurological disease called SCD, short form for spinocerebullar degenerative disease. A disease that incurable and would gradually degenerated all the patient's peripheral nerves, meaning the motor nerves. Hence the disease disables the person from voluntary motor actions. The story starts chronologically, with how she discover she had the disease, followed by the happenings around her, including her family, school and her love life. Well, shouldn't say too much here, if not it'll be another spoiler.

This show is quite good for gamers, if you intend to have your eyes a good wash after a tiring computer game, this is definately a show you could watch. One episode is enough, because right now, after continously watching 5 episodes, I'm kind of suffering from dehydration (from water loss through the eyes) and a slight headache from the symptoms of the drama. LOL.

- Déjà vu -Déjà vu...... The feeling of having experienced something that was encountered for the first time.
Yup, yet another quite okay movie that I've watched. Some movie that's quite like the Butterfly Effect. Another interesting movie that I like too.

Well, basically, the movie plays around with the theory of physics and about the probability of going back into the past to change somethings. Of course, everytime when this topic comes about, there's always the paradox problem that the director or the script writer has to solve it in a way or two. That is, if something is really changed in the past by a future person, what will happen to the present? LOL. Sounds complicated right? Anyway, basically, there's like about two postulated resultant, that is what ever you do when you're back in the past, the future will stay the same, like what was portrayed in the Time Machine. The other would be that the future will be in another dimension due to the "new" past that was created and hence the present would then cease to exist. LOL. Okay, I shall stop with the physics theory thing here before the readers get anymore confused. Anyway, the movie used the latter postulated resultant. Well, at least in this way, you'll almost definately understand that the ending's going to be a good one (ya , ya, those happily ever after stories ).

Well, it's definately a good show to watch, and you might want to catch the Butterfly Effect too and see how the two different movies twist and turn around physics theories in different ways. Oh yah, seems like a coincidence, I surfed on the yahoo search engine and they featured a science discovery about Deja Vu. Interesting article. Link.

Yup, shall be going to the "look quite nice" fun fair tomorrow! Got some free tokens and some coupons for free goodie bag and ice cream! Hope it's gonna be fun. Shall post photos of the place if I take any tomorrow!

小宝,
sorry ah, haven't been able to speak to you on msn lately. Heez. Too addicted to online game le I guess. Just want to tell you that I just received your postcard with the red pouch thing that I don't know what it is. So sweet. Hope you'll have fun during the homestay this weekend! - Some random updates -

Yesterday, went to ah kai's house to play MahJong. Lost all the way during the game until I win back most of what I lost towards the end! Don't worry, never play money this time ah. :) Anyway, it's been a long time since I touch Mah Jong..... I think.. Since Chinese new year. LOL. After that went through the photos that we took in Taiwan with zr and mr anonymous, though they were half bored at that time.

Anyway, Singapore just invented these drinks call anything or whatever.

These can drinks randomly contain different types of drinks.Anything is carbonated and whatever is non-carbonated. So it's a really interesting way to order a drink if you can't make up your mind but know whether you want a gasy or non-gasy drink. I think each can has a probability of getting six different tastes. For more information, maybe you want to surf the website. Link.

Well, looking back at the photos that I took, or rather the other 4 of my friends took (because I didn't bring my camera), I realised I could put a special episode of Ho Jia Eh in Taiwan. So, er, until I have the time to upload those photos, which I'm lazy to do so, it shall remain as an idea on this particular entry of the blog. :S

Okay, back to something interesting. I dreamt of something interesting again. First dream, I dreamt that my house was one of the shops in Junction 8! And just beside my house was a ramen stall which my mum was working in. So, I dreamt that I woke up and saw my mum wearing the ramen stall uniform coming home and said "it's break time now". :S. Actually, I don't mind staying in junction 8! Free aircon. But, it'll feel super strange.

Second dream, I dreamt that I was taking a flight to Taiwan and on the way to Taiwan, the plane had some problems and crash-landed into South Korea. How can that even happen???? (Taiwan? Korea?). Anyway, the plane landed with only a few scratches while as it crash-landed, it squashed a couple of villagers in the way, which I could see on the TV screen of the plane but they were annotated as cartoon animations. :S. Well, as I was still in one piece, I called home to my mum and said I was all right and surprisely she said "Yah, I know, the news reporting now." Talk about news broadcast efficiency! The dream ended when I took a bus to the nearest airport in korea and took another plane to Taiwan. :S

-Ghost Rider-

At last, this is a much more sane movie that's suitable for the normal audience. With somewhat a storyline that had a couple of irregularities and illogical meanings, it's kind of a typical hero and villian show that you would expect out of a comic hero. Anyway, Nicholas Cage face doesn't appear alot of times in the show, because most of the time, he's portrayed as a "skeleton warrior" in burning fire riding on a burning bike.

*warning: may contain spoilers!
As the story goes, he was selected by the devil himself to be his bounty hunter. Strange enough, the power the ghost rider got from the devil somehow contradicts the devil's doing himself. And also, the ghost rider power was so much more powerful than the devil's son. Hmmm, well, the main story line is that the devil's son was looking for some contract thing that contain many many many souls. So once he gets the contract he'll be ultra powerful. Well, I'll let you guess the ending here, quite an anti-climax I must say. Firstly, the devil's son doesn't have a soul, and once he got the contract, he possesses many many many souls. Secondly, the ghost rider power is that when anyone with a soul who looks into the eye of the ghost rider(which he didn't have any because he's a skeleton?) would be able to feel the pain on the people that the soul has sinned on and eventually die of the pain. So? Pretty easy to guess the not so spectacular ending right? :)

- Epic Movie -

Free from my FYP work, I decide to catch a funny movie.... At least, I was expecting it to be funny.......

This is the WORST show I've ever watched in my life! It's much much worse than Nanny Mcphee or The Fog. Arghz. No story line, no plot, lousy spoof, not even worth downloading. But if you're planning to get hold of something of each movie that has been showing in 2006, that's IF you're planning to do so, you might..... MIGHT want to watch this show to see what kind of movies you've been missing out during 2006. But, I must warn you that the spoof that they show has nothing, almost absolutely nothing to do with the actual show. The jokes ain't funny at all. Most of which involves some really stupid ridiculous sexual content. !##$%^$%&

P/S: The Borat guy is DISGUSTING.

- FYP second day -

Hmmm, before I start on the main topic, today I saw my secondary school teacher in the bus interchange! Surprisingly, he still remembered me. Taught me chemistry in secondary 3 and 4 I think, can't really recall now. But he's still as macho and muscular as last time, not much has changed for him though. Teaching in one of the elite schools now in Bishan and he spoke to me about teaching his students proteonomics, and whispered to me that he didn't learn that before. LOL. Anyway, was a short chat with him. Was wondering whether I shld have taken the initiative to get his number, but didn't in the end. Nevermind, next time when we have the chance if there is. Haha.

Yup, second day into my honours project. Finally tried my hand on one of the experiments! Took some buffer coat from NUH and took it back to the laboratory to isolate the white blood cells that my mentor needed. Broke so many rules along the way when I was doing the experiment. Was pretty glad that the person teaching me was quite patient and helpful. Yet, there's just many things to learn, so many things to remember. The research team people are quite friendly. Today almost got invited by one of them to play mahjong with 3 others in the research team. In the evening, even got a ride from them back home. LUCKY! A masters student who drives and stays near my home! Haha.

Tomorrow dun have to go to school. :)... My research will only begin again next week. Need to finally read up on the references and get as much information into my brain as possible. :)

- FYP First Day -

Hmmmm, woke up pretty reluctantly in the early morning to discuss my project outline with my mentor. Drank Teh Ice but somehow didn't work. Could it be the after effect due to the examinations that was more than one month ago? Or could it be the psychological reluctancy that overwhelmed the effects of caffeine from the tea?

Went back school and found out somethings that have changed, or rather improved. Things that those of you who graduated already would not want to hear or rather not be bothered about. First thing, part of the canteen is going to be fully AIR CONDITIONED! Looking at the pace of the construction, it seems that before school reopens, we will have the chance to enjoy! Second thing, LT26 is under renovation! FINALLY and about time!

Back to my FYP. It started well with some detailed discussion with the mentor, and I manage to learn alot of things theoretically. As for the practical part which she demonstrated for the second half of the day, the only thing I can remember vividly is she using the pipette and changing the tips and adding and taking up the liquid from tubes and tubes of other liquid which I can't remember at all. Almost felt asleep half way when I sat there looking at her do her stuff. Well, tomorrow's going to be another day looking at her demonstrate. Must try to learn more out of it! No time already. Saw a couple of people from my same batch in the research room also. Putting more stress upon me.

Felt really lost along the way, maybe because I rely too much on my friends before that to begin with. Suddenly feel that I have to completely rely on myself in the next few weeks if I were to do a good job for my FYP. Feel that I have to 成长 in time before it's too late.......

- Short updates -

Hmmmm, didn't really had the time to update my blog. So here's a short update. :)

Just came back from holiday in Sabah, Sarawak and Taiwan. Went holidaying a few days after my last paper. Hence, I went holidaying for at least one month, therefore some of you would have notice that I've not been online for quite some time, with occasionally pop ups when I found free internet access along the way during my trip.

Sabah was fun, went rafting, tried to climb mount kinabalu, went snokerling, ate bbq food using lots of wooden branches from the forest, slept in the beach at night with disturbing flies and soaked in poring hot springs while drinking alcohol at the same time. -.- Food and accomodation was cheap, weather was hot and warm. Had a terrible tan that left my back skin peeling near the end of the trip.

Sarawak, stay there for two days and one night. Stayed in a long house that even had air conditioning! Had the night learning some culture and traditional ritual stuff from the owners of the chalet. Some things that involved the hanging of glutinious rice on the pilers and killing a rooster. LOL. Nevertheless, it's a place where I found the beach completely with nothing, almost with no sea shells at all. But the seafood there was cheap cheap cheap.

Taiwan. One word explains everything. 美食天堂. They had night markets almost at every corner of the city. This time only explore Taipei, the city area. Went some museums and currently have some knowledge about Taiwan's rich history and some of China's prehistoric stuff and things about Sun Yat Sen and Jiang Zhong Zheng. All thanks to ah kai. Visit some scenic places in 野桺, with rocks that look like different objects and particularly one that is famous for looking like the head of a queen. Didn't really shop for things there, most of the things were as expensive as Singapore except for alcohol. LOL. Also went to the hot springs when the temperature was particularly high that day with a peak at 38 degrees celsius. Nevertheless, a great place to visit for a glutton like me. AND I haven't tried finish all the different type of food yet!!!!!

Hmmm, no pictures for this entry I guess. Though singnet gave me a free upgrade in the download speed from 512 to 1mbps, they simply refuse to upgrade my incredibly slow uploading speed, hence creating that lazy aura for me not to upload my super duper high quality 5mp photos. LOL.

Okay, tomorrow have to really start my FYP. Feel that "holiday" past by so soon (I haven't play enough yet!). Going to school in the morning to discuss the project outline with my mentor. Good lucks to me, I haven't start reading on the reference yet! Think going to give a bad impression. LOL.

43 days before Xiao Bao comes back... :'( Miss you.......... XLMXB
