The restaurant, located at the famous street in Little India, lined with many other Authentic Indian food, Anjappar restaurant appeal to me the most because..... Moses Lim was in front of the entrance. Well, at least his poster was in front, it totally help with my decision making along the street. (cos I don't know which restaurant to go to!). Anyway, the restaurant ambience was quite good, smart looking waiters and restaurant captains and a glass wall between the tables and the kitchen to allow the customers to take a peek at how the chefs make their food. Poor thing, they can't even eat snake with the constant staring from the patrons' eyes. Their bill only include the 7% GST. No service charge included. Anyway, here are the delicious dishes that
I ordered that day....

Mango Lassi
One of the many beverages recommended by the restaurant captain. It's actually fresh mango blended with yogurt. Really thick and sweet. The only bad thing about it was it wasn't cold, it was kinda...... warm. Would really help if they add some ice during their blending. Well, it's a good drink for health enthusiatics because less nutrients is lost!
Price: $4.00

Garlic, Cheese Naan
One of the most famous staple food of India that's comparable to the roti prata would be their Naan. Done with much perfection, not too oily with plenty of garlic (you can see soooooo many garlic bits on the naan, that vampire would be scared of it. Mr anonymous would like it). As for the cheese naan, maybe they could be more generous about the proportion they add in. I truely prefer my cheese naan to be comparable to those of italian pizzas. :D Other than that, the naans looked really appetizing and were hot when they arrived.
Price: Garlic Naan ($2.50)
Cheese Naan ($2.50)

Tandoori Chicken(half)
Another famous dish from authentic North Indian Cuisine, the tandoori chicken. Hmmm, what can I say about this dish. I feel that it's kinda barbecued and quite near to the likes of the Portuguese chicken that I ate in Australia, ie. the meat was tender but a significant proportion of the chicken is "charcoal"/chao ta. The only dish that wasn't pretty much to my liking.
Price: $9.00

Mutton Sukka Varuval
Non-spicy lovers be warned! This mutton dish looks pretty innocent, but it's so spicy it could almost give you the opposite effect of the slurpee; Brain Burn! I think it's the first dish that the restaurant captain recommended to me when I replied to him "SPICY!" when he asked whether I want spicy or non-spicy dishes for the meal. Anyway, what so good about the spiciness of the dish is that it goes away as quickly as it burned you. So, it doesn't have this enduring hotness in your mouth which you can't get rid of by drinking tons of water. In other words, for this really small dish of mutton, you can afford to go through the burn and recover cycles for a satisfying number of times!~
Price: $7.00

Kadai vegetable
The simplest dish in the whole meal. But, sometimes, the simplest dish could give you the most wonderful feeling. It's a mixed vegetable dish with curry gravy cooked together. Spiciness was just right, tasted absolutely perfect with the Naan that I ordered with. The gravy was little but thick, and tasted as if it's blended with some kind of nuts, hence very different from the watery ones that you get from the usual roti prata house. This dish was practically licked clean. A must order if you ever visit the restaurant.
Price: $6.00
They actually have a really wide range of other dishes, such as Curry crab, Masala prawn and thosai which was recommended. Really need the restaurant captains to recommend you something, if not it'll take ages before you decide on something.
