Hmmmm, recently there's been a hooha about Odex getting the IP of downloaders of animation which they have license on. Issues of privacy and the seriousness of the offence have been brought up a number of times. One interesting article I came across on Today talks about Odex actually trying to scare the people they tracked down to have downloaded the anime and "threathening" them with a supposedly possible tough sentence if convicted when the sentence was actually meant for the offence of actually distributing the animation instead of mere downloading them. I felt that how he tried to argue this topic was rather logical and made me think about how such big organizations could manipulate some things to scare people. Here's the article, have a read. :)
